Where you'll learn.
Wilderness surrounds Fairbanks, yet highways, airlines, fiber and satellites firmly connect it to the world. So you can attend and earn your degree online from anywhere.
In Fairbanks, you’ll find the Troth Yeddha’ ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, the UAF Community and Technical ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the Interior Alaska ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Beyond, regional campuses serve Kotzebue, Bethel, Nome and Dillingham. Research sites can take you to Kodiak in the south, Juneau in the east and Toolik Lake above the Arctic Circle.

Work led by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Georgia Institute of Technology researchers shows that the effort to improve Fairbanks' wintertime air quality by reducing the amount of primary sulfate in the atmosphere may not be as effective as intended in the deep cold.
The lost world of northern dinosaurs

On a recent river trip in northern Alaska, scientists from the University of Alaska Museum of the North found a lost world, a time of "polar forests with reptiles running around in them."
